Mama rainbow is not a criminal and as a mother of the nation sleeping in jail is a crime against humanity and a huge mistake on the GNU government side that they will regret thereafter. This barbaric action will haunt them for ever.
How can Michuki arrest Hon. Ngilu for not committing any crime? Isnt this a misuse of the security forces to fend off those objected to Michukis graft connections instead of hunting the real criminals?
Even if the Kibaki administration owns Kenya after buying all government owned corporations and by enriching themselves with Goldenberg, Anglo leasing and drug monies, they better realize that their days in power are numbered. To that effect, Raila Odinga could be our savior from this mess of a government. He will liberate us from the tyranny of these colonial masters.
Looking down the memory lane, the Michuki security team vandalized the standard newspaper offices, destroyed properties worth millions of shillings and got away with it. No arrests have been made yet, this was a criminal act. Soon after that, Michuki imported mercenaries to assassinate Raila Odinga. They took the country hostage and when the country demanded an explanation, they threatened to arrest Raila for no cause. Unfortunately, Michuki let the presidents sons in law go around town breaking every law I know and later bought them first class air tickets and flew them out of the country. The two mercenaries are believed to be living large off the presidents budget while rumor has it that they were Michukis business associates. How were these guys able to get around and away with all this if the president and Michuki didnt know their business in Kenya? Is this the kind of government we want for another five years? I doubt it.
It is quite ungodly for Michuki to arrest the mother of the country for objecting to the misuse of the security forces and arresting innocent people when the same Kimendeu Michuki raided a private premises without cause and has since got away with it. On the other hand, the same Michuki imported mercenaries and if he didnt, couldnt he order for their arrest when they fought security officers at JKIA? How could a gang of criminals endanger lives of passengers at the international airport without any arrest being made yet it lead to the firing of a police constable? But, Mama Rainbow can be arrested for objecting the injustice of the Kibaki Michuki government? When mercenaries engaged Kenyans in the streets of Nairobi, Michuki and his comrades did nothing but they can arrest Mama Rainbow? What type of nonsense is this?
Well, no one is above the law, but I object with the strongest terms possible the selective use of this clause by the Kibaki administration which applies it to Raila and Mama Rainbow only. Why cant it apply to Hon. Kimendeu, Mrs. Kibaki, Prof. Saitoti, Dr. Murungaru and Hon. Murungi?
The Kibaki government has gone too far abusing peoples rights and undermining the intelligence of Kenyans. It is high time the public taught them a lesson. It seems they never got the message during the referendum. For the same reason Kenyans should know that Ngilus arrest is a bigger attempt to intimidate her for being a mother of the nation and for objecting to grand theft in the government presently. Nevertheless, the chicken will soon be home to roost and Kibaki will be retired to an unknown destination.
Here are the discrepancies which warrant retirement of these folks in the cabinet: the minister of education was the architect of one of Kenyas largest scandals but no arrests have been made yet; the Minster of energy instituted Anglo leasing with his accomplices; same for the former Minister for internal security and the current Minster of environment and yet we havent seen any arrests. The first lady assaulted people and destroyed private property and yet no arrests have been made to this end. But, when Mwalimu Matu and Anne Njogu object to grand theft and misuse of public resources they are arrested and an attempt on their lives fails to materialize but Mama Rainbow is arrested instead, for objecting to these kinds of barbaric acts. Is there something wrong with this picture? Give us a break Hon. Michuki, what are you trying to show us?
It is public knowledge that Michuki was accused of being a Mungiki founder, accusations that he has not responded to and yet he can use the security forces to arrest Mama Rainbow when they should be working hard to eliminate Mungiki? What a barbaric way to do things.
As long as Anglo leasing stays afloat while Kimunya is in the forefront selling parastatals to his friends in GNU, Kenyans will wait vigil to speak at the ballot. It is now clear from the last few episodes that Kibakis administrations main objective is to silence any voices that speak against corruption because the public doesnt matter to them. There are signs that the administration can rig elections or hire mercenaries to kill whoever tries to be an angel on national issues. No wonder the president calls others Kumbavu or mavi ya kuku because they dont count. However much he disregards others, his days at Statehouse are maybe numbered and their significance will be his nightmare.
Looking at the way things are, we have to start a new chapter in Kenya because the arrest of Mama Rainbow when people with criminal acts never got reprimanded is incorrigible. No matter how you look at it, these actions are barbaric and unwelcome.
It is high time for Michuki to exit to have someone in office who can apply the law fairly across the board because this is as much as we can take.
