News ; Away From Kenya, but always united
Reported by staff
The past Saturday on 07/28/07, Kenyan youth at Muungano SDA Church in Jersey City gathered to motivate, praise and advise each other and above all worship together. The youth day brought young Kenyans from far and across. They came to share the roots of mother Africa in a foreign land as immigrants and at the same time share spiritual immigration.
The youth learned how to respect their parents in the African way, grow in the Church and work hard for a fruitful future which paves way for good life. Above all the entity of marital union was discussed to advise the youth to abstain as by the spiritual requirement. Youth day keeps them connected, reminds them who they are and the responsibility ahead of them. At the end they shall identify themselves as Kenyans with one natural culture and on one spiritual boat.
The speaker of the day was another talented youth from West Wilmington SDA Church in Delaware, the Mustard Seed Choir master, Mr. Elvis Mogoi.
