Robert Mugabe’s chairmanship for African Union should be role model for Africa. AU leaders genuinely and intentionally appointed President Robert Mugabe to be Chairman of African Union with tainted image. Some individuals cannot stop laughing about it; some cannot stop their bitterness about him and to some he is a bad example to African leadership. His ill ambitions and aggressive behavior toward the opposite race brought down the once outstanding economy of Zimbabwe to a crippled economy of Africa.
In the next one year we don’t want those sinful acts and uncalculated threats to western countries about minerals as if we are fighting for independence. There is no Iron fist either with ICC African cases since he found them there as well as no rush for African ICC chapter without adequate debate and projected deliberations on accountability and suitability.
After he took presidency he was seen as a noble man of democracy; unfortunately, he seized land from white minority disregarding transparency with outcry of foul play. He is a regrettable president to have in Africa and as a chairman for African Union. Unfortunately, a trophy is given to a winning team or a personality but not losers.
An AU chairman must be accountable to leadership of his country before being a Chair president of African Union when his character, conduct and behaviors are worse than an inmate in Kamiti maximum prison. President Robert Mugabe is listed as a land grabber which is equivalent to land grabbing in Kenya. Furthermore, his involvement into the killing of white minority farmers, displacing white settlers without using the law he fought for and his authoritarian tactics of government is a bad example for Africa. His corruption tune is a resemblance to the Kenyan corruption stage show. The displacement of white minority settlers in Zimbabwe is yet another likening of Kenya’s IDP (Internally Displaced People) after 2007/8 post election violence. Ask why President Uhuru Kenyatta was the first to offer $ 1 million to the African Union not IDP?
As the Chairman of African Union, the character to be shown in leadership must be an example to attract, to learn from and make friends with. Africa has decided to appoint a man who is isolated by western countries for his authoritative rule and a tyranny of democracy. I cannot find the criteria which African Union used to settle on him. I don’t see the sweetest part of him even with my eye glasses that prompted his appointment to African Union Chairmanship than his hate of the west.
Africa can only get ICC chapter when Kenyan cases have been dealt with and closed. There is a reason why President Uhuru Kenyatta gave out funds of$1 million to help start ICC establishment in Africa hurriedly without parliament’s approval. I wonder if that was his personal money or tax payer’s money. We want Kenyans to be peaceful and development minded. We cannot start forcing the ongoing cases of African suspects to be stopped because Robert Mugabe has said so. Kenyan leadership should refrain themselves from ICC politics of no substance. ICC cases are in courts and they will be closed by the court after determining a verdict. Donating $1 million to establish an African ICC when Kenyans are suffering and some working without pay is a big question to remember. We don’t want corruption and favoritism to taint ICC reputation. Leave ICC alone and seek re-election in 2017 genuinely.
It remains the work of ICC member countries to identify when they can provide Africa with ICC chapter, secondly, which countries are available to host ICC African chapter, thirdly, which country is stable and convenient to handle such high profile personalities. Robert Mugabe the current AU chairman is not democratic in his own country which he has monopolized power making the economy crippled. The truth speaks about him; he has no diplomacy. That is a wrong character and campaigner to speak about ICC. We cannot force ICC member countries to speed the establishment of Africa ICC chapter within a year or two years because President Uhuru Kenyatta gave $1 million towards the court and because Kenya’s deputy president is being tried a stooge coalition member of the ruling party.
We cannot involve politics into court affairs that practically makes the cat to smell a rat. There is something in question that president Uhuru Kenyatta is urgently seeking. We leave the court to decide and determine not Robert Mugabe. We don’t want Kenya to be caught in violation of civil rights, a country in politics about ICC and dictating ICC. I still smell a rat.
Let President Uhuru Kenyatta refrain and desist on ICC and his re-election maneuver. It’s not only me but also millions have seen this political infidelity over other parties. President Uhuru Kenyatta is shouldering political ambitions indulging into disfiguring his image. There is a devastating outcome when we use impunity on cases which are in ICC. That is quite unacceptable. Mugabe’s impunity will not bring African cases in ICC to African ICC chapter.
Africa is not fighting for freedom. We must refrain from pointing fingers to the air for no reasonable cause. If Africa appointed Mugabe because of his unfriendly to the west, unfortunately, not all African countries are enemy to the west. Be very cautious about ICC and let the neutral court decide not Robert Mugabe to lobby for Kenya’s Jubilee Alliance. The world is watching and we smell something. The Rhino is watching, the Shark is moving and the Eagle is looking. No harm in 2017 general election.
Let Mugabe focus on Africa’s academic development, economic growth which he doesn’t have, healthcare advancement, integration of African countries and friendship with the west; hence leave Kenyan politics and ICC out of African Union. Already Fatou Bensouda has two points of interest, that Kenya is pushing for ICC withdraw from The Hague and president Uhuru offered $ 1 million than any other African Union member.
President Robert Mugabe should get Poland spring water and roasted ground nuts and wait for his days and leave Kenyan politics out of African union. The cases are way out of presidential influence or AU chairman to show direction. An African proverb says “carry your own cross; also “dig your own grave.” Let us respect international court of Justice. African Union countries with ground democracy should refrain from President Uhuru Kennyatta’s 2017 preparation of general election where he wants his deputy in order to win 2017 re-election. ICC is to remain in The Hague until Kenyan cases are closed because we don’t want bribery a show under construction. End
