We regret to announce the death of our beloved sister, Rose Kwamboka Obita that occurred on August 2, 2013 at Kenyatta National Hospital after a short illness.
She was the wife to the late Jackson Obita Ong’era of Bobasi-Kionyo in Kisii County. She was the daughter of the late John Momanyi Onderi and Yunes Nyanchama Onderi of Bomachoge, mother to Verah Kerubo, Furaha Nyanchama, and Samuel Obita jr., Sister to Dorothy Misoka of Jersey City (NJ), Nancy, Andrew, Job, Isaiah, Samson, and Kennedy all of Kenya.
Niece to Benjamin Omare, Chris Omare, Isaiah Omare, Jason Omare Ayubu Onkundi, and Milka Matayo, all of Minnesota, Jane Miencha, Peter Miencha, and David Omare, all of Arizona. The late Ezekiel, gladys, oyunge, and Henry all of Kenya.
She was in-law to James Misoka, Elias, Edward, Caren, and Norah, all of Jersey City, Thomas, Teresa, Ann, Ong’angi Meraba, and many more others in Kenya. Cousin to Boniface, Francis among others in Kenya, Aunt to Brian, Richard, and Ian among others in Kenya.
Funeral and burial arrangements are scheduled for August 16, 2013 at her home (Bobasi- Kionyo-Kisii County).
Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and support at James and Dorothy Misoka’s residence at 609 Bramhall Avenue, Jersey city, NJ 07304. Family members will be traveling to Kenya on 8/13/13.
