You have to have conviction, or you can’t live!
Then you have to do something about your conviction, or you can’t stand to live with yourself! You’ve got to be convinced that you’re right, and try to convince everybody else of the same, and be willing to fight for what you believe in.
God likes whole-hearted, stout-hearted men! Have you got the guts to be one of these? If you’re going to serve God, for God’s sake, know what you’re going to believe–and serve Him–no matter what anyone says! Take a stand of faith like Martin Luther took on Salvation by Grace before the Diet of Worms: He said, “Here I stand; I can do no other. I’m willing to die for this truth, I’m so sure of it!”
You cannot stop the man of faith. You cannot dissuade him! You cannot divert him! You cannot stop him! He’ll go on with or without you, or right over you, if necessary. He is determined to go blindly on faith alone, because he has found the Truth! He is of one mind, one heart, one soul, one spirit, one purpose, and will not quit until he’s made it!
God help us to be soldiers and willing to do anything for You, Lord, in just plain thanks for Your salvation! We must do what we know is right, and be willing to live and to die for what we know is the Truth!
Most people don’t realise that if they hold one little thing back from the Lord, one little compromise, they’re on their way to backsliding!–Because one little disobedience leads to another, one little refusal and denial leads to another, and one bit of selfishness leads to more. You may think, “Oh, just this one little tiny sin, just this little thing–it’s not important!” But that little crack in your armour is where the Devil begins to seep in, and then his gas of deceit begins to poison your mind because you disobeyed and pretty soon you’re totally off the track!–And if you don’t really repent and stop, you could eventually go all the way back on the Lord!
Don’t let it happen to you! Be faithful to the Lord. Be faithful to the Voice of God. Be faithful to His Work, the particular ministry He’s called you to.–Be loyal! “resist the Enemy and he will flee from you!” (Jam.4:7) Don’t give him an inch or he’ll take a mile–or more and everything you’ve got! “Give no place to the Evil One!” (Eph.4:27) Amen?
He loves us and talks to us and is concerned about every little thing! There’s nothing too small for the Lord or too hard for Him. He takes care of every little detail!
You are His and He loves you and is doing His best for you. Stay close to Him and He’ll never let you down. Even though we are faithless, yet He remaineth faithful, for He cannot deny Himself, and He cannot break His Word. He Who has begun a good work in you is going to perform it unto the End! (2Tim.2:13; Phi.1:6)
You’ve cast our lines in pleasant places, Lord, and given us exceeding abundantly above all that we could ask or think! Even the little things You do, Lord, show us Your Love and Your precious comforting Spirit and Your faithfulness. We thank You, Lord, You’re so good to us!–Merciful in spite of all our shortcomings, sins, mistakes, failures and weaknesses. You’re still good to us, take care of us, protect us and supply for us. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life!” (Psa.23:6)–How much goodness and mercy He shows us! Thank You, Lord, for Thy faithfulness!
It is impossible to stand still in the Christian life! You are either making progress–going ahead, climbing a little further upward every day, accomplishing more, serving more faithfully, giving more–or you are slipping backward the other direction and you are on your way down!
Are you alive and going, or dead and settling?–Don’t settle down and vegetate and become like the rest of the bumps on the logs! Rise up and live! Move now with the life of God, or you’ll be left behind in the death of this World!
