Anti-terrorism police intend to terminate a charge against a man suspected to be behind the bombing of two churches in Garissa. The man is suspected to have murdered a policemen in Garissa on June 1. This is after ATPU detectives discovered that a prime witness in the investigation had lied to the police. Ruth Mumbe who worked as a house help in Garissa told the police that she knew how Nzau together with four other men planned the attacks. She claimed she had seen Nzau and his accomplices exchange grenades a day before the AIC church and the Catholic church in Garissa were attacked.
