To our dear friends and family,
The family of Pastor and Mrs. Elvis Mogoi would like to express sincere gratitude for the continuous prayers and support that you are offering during this time of grief following the untimely death of Carolyn Mogoi’s dad, Mr. John Mosomi, on Monday, July 2nd 2012 in Kenya.
For those of you who may not be aware, he suffered cardiac arrest on Monday afternoon and was rushed to hospital. Efforts to save his life did not yield fruit and he succumbed to death at 7pm Kenyan time on Monday.
Your phone calls, emails, text messages, face book messages and visits are all being used by God to give warmth and encouragement. The family here and back home is steadily coming to grips with the new reality of the passing away of their father.
The following is a brief update of the plans made for the days ahead. The burial of Mr. John Mosomi is set for Friday, July 13, 2012 in Kenya.
The funeral arrangements are in progress. Currently, it may not be possible for Carolyn and her husband to travel, hence here in the USA, a memorial service for prayers and fellowship is scheduled for this Saturday, July 7th 2012 at 6:00pm, to be held at West Wilmington Seventh-day Adventist Church. The church address is 3003 Mill Creek Road, Wilmington, Delaware, 19808. All friends and family who are able to attend are welcome.
Carolyn is the first of four siblings; two who are still in school (one in university and the other in high school). Her mother recently retired from employment, but her father was still working until the time of his death.
During the service, your willingness as you have done in times past, to support financially or otherwise will go a long way to help the family back home at this time and in the days to come.
May our Gracious and Everlasting Father reward you so richly in all you have done and are continuing to do to be a channel of His goodness.
