Six adults and four children were displaced by an electrical fire in a three-family Jersey City building this morning, officials said.
Officers responded to the three-story building at 303 Stegman Parkway on a 5:39 a.m. alarm and by the time the fire was under control at 6:34 a.m., the structure had suffered moderate damage, Fire Director Armando Roman said. Fundraiser For Fire Victims BILL AND HELLEN NYAMONGO 03/23/2012
One of our own community member has been forced to be homeless by fire. The family of Bill Nyamongo and Helen Nyamiaka was forced out when their house caught fire on Friday the 9th. They are living in a hotel in Newark for now.
We ask the community to come to their rescue this Saturday at 5.30pm to help them get the basic needs to move on with normal life.
We ask all community members to step on the plate and help the family at this time of need.
