| KAMPALA-There was drama at a prominent secondary school in Kampala when a student who had been suspended returned with a man to act as his guardian. Watiti, a Senior Three student, had been suspended for misconduct and was set to report with a parent. On the fateful day, the man whom Watiti came with did not know which domitory and stream the boy was in. This made the teachers suspicious, prompting them to probe the man more and call in the guards to arrest him. Realising that he had been cornered, the man got up and fled through the compound with the guards chasing him. The man jumped over the fence as villagers joined in the chase, but he managed to get away. Meanwhile, Watiti, confessed that the man he had come with, was a bodaboda rider whom he had given sh20,000 to act as his guardian. Watiti said during the time he was supposed to be on suspension, he did not go home but lingered at the nearby trading centre because he feared the wrath of his father.
