The Administration Police department has exonerated itself from Friday morning robbery incident that saw 36 million shillings on transit stolen before it was eventually recovered, purportedly by the officers.
AP spokesman Masoud Mwinyi says preliminary investigations show that no officer from his department had been assigned to escort the cash that was being transported from Nairobi to Garrissa adding that none of the said fire arms used in the theft belonged to the force.

Former Tourism Minister Najib Balala has himself to blame for the dismissal after he repeatedly demonstrated that his political interests were outside his party, Prime Minister Raila Odinga has said.
But in reaction, Mr Balala said he was sacked for having an independent mind and accused his party leader of being “a dictator whom Kenyans do not deserve as their next president”.
NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 28 – Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s fortunes at the Coast have taken a turn for the worse after nominated MP Sheikh Mohammed Dor and other Muslim leaders accused him of betraying a Memorandum of Understanding he signed with them in the run up to the 2007 elections.
The leaders, who accompanied former Tourism Minister Najib Balala to a press briefing on Wednesday, accused the premier of disregarding the agreement he signed with the National Forum of Leaders of Muslim Organisations (NAMLEF).

Onyango Obama, 67, admitted to sufficient facts at a hastily scheduled hearing Tuesday. That means he didn’t plead guilty but acknowledged Massachusetts prosecutors had enough evidence to convict him. A judge continued the case for one year without a finding, meaning that if he does not get arrested during that time, the charge will be dismissed. A judge also ordered him to attend a driver alcohol education program.

Pinal County sheriff’s officials say deputies were called to the intersection of Desert Honeysuckle and Desert Rose Trail in The Greens neighborhood in San Tan Valley around 2:30 a.m. after a man was discovered lying in the road.
The victim, who has been identified as 22-year-old Peter Mwangi of San Tan Valley, was unresponsive, according to officials.
Mwangi suffered severe trauma to the head and there were vehicle tracks going over his body.
Evidence shows Mwangi may have been the victim of an assault, but the initial report of a hit-and-run has not been ruled out, officials said.
The victim was flown to Scottsdale Osborn Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
There were no witnesses to the incident, but sheriff’s deputies are asking for anyone with information that could help identify the suspect or suspects to contact the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office at 520-866-5111.
Authorities believe the fires were deliberately set. KWS says its investigations show that the fires on Mt. Kenya “were caused by arsonists with ill intentions.”

“We appeal to the public to volunteer information to government agencies on suspects who could be lighting these fires as well as report any outbreaks of new fires,” said KWS spokesman Paul Udoto.

ATLANTA —A bill making its way through the Georgia Legislature could prevent illegal immigrants from being able to get a marriage license or access to water and sewage service in the state.
The bill sponsored by Sen. Barry Loudermilk, R-Cassville, has gotten a lot of attention because it would also bar illegal immigrants from the state’s public colleges, universities and technical schools. But another provision that’s generated very little discussion removes foreign passports from a list of identification documents that government agencies can accept for certain transactions. To be acceptable, foreign passports would have to be accompanied by federal immigration documentation proving someone is in the country legally.
