A question in many peoples mind today is, DO WE REALLY KNOW WHO ABABU NAMWAMBA IS? Just to make a few comments in response to this commentary that, from reliable sources, he Ababu Namwamba prior to going to campaign, made a big LOOT from unsuspecting trusting Kenyans who offered him funds and free accommodation while in the US. The people who also showered him with goodies for his campaign, a people who never suspected foul game from his flirting convincing talks found themselves in a wonder adventure of joy ride by Ababu. At this point, this man Ababu Namwamba to my understanding, never acted like a gentleman, a statesman nor did he appreciate gestures that were accorded him in time of need while in the USA or did he care to honor his promises to them, a case in point, he never even delivered simple donations such like, WHEEL CHAIRS to the intended recipients, that which was entrusted to him after enjoying the goodie ride in USA, some of these things have never reach their destinations while some found their way to the comfort of his house. He totally severed the trust many had for him and the love which was generated to him from a simple fact that he showed interest to be an ODM candidate a VEHICLE MANY PEOPLE BANK ON FOR CHANGE.
This is the kind of man I call an OPPORTUNIST if not an IDIOT, would readily jump into demanding unrealistic preposition of seeking “GRAND COALITION OPPOSITION” inclusion in the “CONSTITUTION”. While being an elected member in the house and a legislator, he lacked understanding to know the meaning of words he sometimes back chose to use, “an Extraordinary Circumstances” requiring “Extraordinary Measures” a prescription the 10th Parliamentary had to brave and accept uncomfortably after too much opposition from the public. This is a calling situation everyone has to tighten the belt, seek wisdom from supernatural power in order to embrace this rough ride, which is neither pleasant nor accommodable. If Ababu cannot honor simple promises in receipt of goodies for his campaign, can he deliver to his entrusted responsibility of representation or the electorates? Is he not an OPPORTUNIST OF SOME SORT? I bet he should come to terms in taking note of honoring such little responsibilities before he can be trusted with public resources and be a vehicle of CHANGE in his constituent.
Yes opposition is appropriate and necessary, but is it for right now, or is it logical or practical under this kind of environment or outfit? Where are the BRAINS? Which, if I may ask, would be a likely priority concern requiring pressure and push? is it not necessary to create conducive practical operational atmosphere where a repeat election can be conducted without heavy casualties like what we have just been treated a trail movie theatre of the past election of 2007, reinforce CONSTITUION by required policy act of parliament to accommodate people/public DEMANDS? Yes, those big mouth of Opposition outfit, whose interest are they soliciting for, the GEMA MAFIA or the General Public DEMANDS?
One thing is clear, that the Grand Coalition Government has stipulated package demand between a signed agreement by Raila and Kibaki, that anything outside the agreement pack is not being in compliance and will render the pack irrelevant NULL and VOID. In which case, the DEMAND did not provide for GRAND COALITION OPPOSITION, but to make changes in the CONSTITUTION so it can be accommodative and inclusive with referendum DEMANDS, investigate causes of the flawed election and its fall-out and charge, investigate Electoral Commission of Kenya and charge, investigate the organized thuggery that caused mayhem in killing and maiming innocent public and charge, investigate public flights and corruption of public resources and charge, share the government between PNU and ODM fifty fifty (50 by 50) so to form a BALANCED CABINET, that the DEMAND is TEMPORARY for purposes of CONSTITUTION MAKING and in providing peaceful coexistence while matters are being investigated awaiting fair election in an environment which is free from fear, intimidation and corruption so to save Kenya from destruction. Does that make sense?
Yes, if things are not working, there is public, civil, local and international agencies and individuals forums to keep the pressure. Elected members have the Parliament House to consult and push.
I believe this is a wrong gesture, launching a master plan for Grand Coalition Government, if we have to condemn Ababu Namwamba for Grand Coalition Opposition – even to go for five or ten years is wrong. Atleast 6months or one year was feasible. This stands against my principles for standing up for Kenyans in the struggle for Justice, Peace, Freedom and Good Democratic Rule of Governance. It is not adding up. Raila has to stand tall and protect, stand for, make noise and deliver to ODM and supporters. He cannot allow to be bullied at the expense and trust of voters and majority Kenyas.
It is also wrong to overule Orengo on his Ministerial Management undertakings by the President assuming Kibaki is for PNU and Raila for ODM, there is no balancing here and the fifty fifty share is not binding as well as not being respected. I also read about Hon. Kajwang’s Ministry being subdivided while all the PNUs are all intact because he brushed shoulders with the staunch PNU stronghold and the GEMA in demanding that the illigal PNU candidate be deported under the IMMIGRation Rule. The youth in jail situation for post election fall out must be treated in fairness – the President and Martha Karua are discriminative, making such wild and open announcements is provocative. The crimes caused by MUNGIKI who were not even picked by the police and did kill many some were documented are well known in the community Raila must not close his eyes or look sideways. The Police who ordered “shoot to kill” is still in his office earning government salary.
Kenyans have been put to tred on a very tricky and dangerous ground. Something is not right.
Come on people, there is need for sanity here.
